Biography
Veronica Riva
Veronica Riva is a multidisciplinary creative whose work mainly spans digital art, photography, and writing. Born in Argentina, she began her artistic training at the Istituto Statale d'Arte "U. Preziotti" in Fermo, earning a Diploma in Art Mastery and a Diploma in Applied Arts, specializing in Architecture and Interior Design.
She enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, majoring in Scenography, and later transferred to the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata, where she attended courses in Theatre Photography, Scenography, Aesthetics, and Art History. During this time, she decided to expand her skills in visual communication, completing a Specialization Course in Web Design. Throughout her educational journey, she had the opportunity to deepen her Graphic Design techniques.
In 2006, she attended a Photography and Analog Development Course at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Santiago, Chile.
In 2012, she held a solo exhibition of Digital Art titled "Te po o te mahana - Darkness and Brightness" at the Englert Anthropological Museum on Easter Island. For the occasion, she staged a two-voice monologue on the origin of life according to Maori mythology.
She contributed to the permanent exhibition "Colonizing Polynesia" opened in 2012 at the Güímar Ethnographic Park in Tenerife, creating graphic reconstructions of boats, homes, and archaeological sites based on surveys and scientific studies.
In 2017, she presented her personal photographic exhibition "Easter Island. Journey through the myths and contrasts of the most remote island on the planet", as part of the event "In the Extreme Lands" held at the San Francesco Museum Pole in Montefiore dell’Aso (AP), during the Incontri Fotografici event, organized by the Visual Arts Institute of Porto San Giorgio.
In 2023, she published her first novel "The Chosen" with Montag Editore.
From May to July 2025, she will participate in the group exhibition "Humor Vitreo – Glass in Contemporary Art", at the Glass Museum in Piegaro (PG) and later at the Church of Santa Maria in Muris in Belmonte Piceno (FM).
